A J Charnaud & Co (Pty) Ltd was founded in 1975 by Fiona and Andrew Charnaud to manufacture high performance industrial clothing for the South African market. A J Charnaud & Co (Pty) Ltd can today be regarded as the leading global supplier of personal protective clothing against flames, heat and molten metal, supplying to the hot metal industry and to aluminium smelters and downstream operators on five continents. Personal protective clothing for electrical arc safety was introduced in 2004.
